Who Is Your Healer Part – Five

More on the Healing Word

It was the custom of Jesus to attend Synagogue on Saturdays (also known as the Sabbath). One day He was at “church” (the Synagogue) and the Lord released a creative miracle on the Sabbath Day (which according to the ‘Law of Man’ was a sin). Jesus healed a crippled woman on the Sabbath and this miracle worked up the religious leaders of the Synagogue and even the city. We see this miracle in Luke 10 in verses 10 to 13 (a quick but important miracle).  Let’s take a look at this miracle released via the healing word.

Jesus can still release these types of healing miracles today by releasing the healing word through His people. As God’s people learn to become empowered by the Spirit they can release both healing miracles and deliverance from demonic oppression with a word. The key to this is understanding the will of God and being obedient to the Spirit in the realm of healing and miracles.

Luke 10-12; Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” (Jesus speaks the healing word that released both her healing miracle and deliverance from demonic oppression). This is what I call a “two for” miracle! And in this case Jesus actually touches the person receiving the miracle by laying hands upon her as we see in verse 13. And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

This woman had been in a “stooped over” position for eighteen years. Yet at the word of Jesus she is released or delivered from a spirit of infirmity that had bound her for eighteen years. At the word of the Lord, we can still experience these kinds of healing miracles and deliverance from demonic oppression today. God will gladly give you a “two for” when you gather too if you can just believe!

It seems like Jesus loved to heal on Saturday. We see another example of this in Luke 14;2-6. Here the Lord releases a miracle to heal a paralyzed man who suffered from a type of paralysis called dropsy. The language used for “dropsy” here means to look limp, watery or to have “dropsy” as it was called two thousand years ago. This was a way to refer to a paralyzed limb. Usually, this kind of condition is caused by heart failure. A limb would fill with water and would not be useful and would not be able to function normally and so dropsy was a form of paralysis. Let’s look at this creative miracle a bit closer, shall we?

Luke 14;2-6 And behold, there was a certain man before Him who had dropsy. 3 And Jesus, answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” (Again, we see that Jesus understood the thoughts and intents of the hearts of the leaders in the room). 4 But they kept silent. And He took him and healed him, and let him go. In doing so Jesus released a creative miracle through the authority of His Father by just speaking the healing word. Then Jesus speaks to the leaders and answers the unasked question in their heart. We see this in verse 5. “Then He answered them, saying, “Which of you, having a donkey or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?” 6 And they could not answer Him regarding these things.

Here is an interesting side note; If you have not listened to the late David Wilkerson on youtube there is a very interesting sermon there by Wilkerson entitled “Religious Leaders, O generation of vipers”. I could say more, but I will say less here.

Jesus was able to release amazing miracles just by speaking the healing word. We see a wonderful example of this kind of the gift of healings and miracles in the cleansing of ten lepers as He was walking to Jerusalem in Luke 17.

Luke 17; 11-13: Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” These ten lepers called out to Jesus from a distance as it was ‘illegal’ and against the ‘Laws of Moses’ for them to approach the Lord.

I consider this a “bonus miracle”. We have witnessed a lot of bonus miracles over the years. The key to this miracle was that Jesus was going about His Fathers business. He was going somewhere on Kingdom business. Many times, God will release miracles in your life as you are “going” to a certain place where you plan to serve God (Matthew 10:8). There are ten lepers who call out to Jesus and seek a miracle and Jesus gives them their miracle through the healing word by simply giving them instructions as we see in verse 14.

14 So when He saw them (the ten lepers), He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. Scripture is very clear in this telling us that ‘as they went, they were cleansed’. In other words, the lepers were obedient to the word of the Lord (some of us could learn a lot by their example).  This was a progressive miracle released by the healing word. God still works miracles in this way today.

On a totally side note, I once had a wonderful pastor that taught this passage in a service. However, when she spoke of the ten lepers, she called them the ten “leopards”. So, me being a buffoon and seeking to hassle her a bit asked her if “the ten leopards spots disappeared after they were healed”?  Sorry, I still find that funny. You know the ten leopards!

We find in verse 15 that suddenly one of the ten lepers realizes that he was healed.

Look at Luke 17; 15-18; And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. (Note that the leper could not actually approach Jesus legally). And he was a Samaritan. 17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 “Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”

I am confident that Jesus was not too interested in the tenth leper returning to bow down and to give glory to Him. But it illustrated an important Kingdom principle. We need to make Gods deeds (miracles) known among His people (Psalm 105:1). That is precisely one of the most important reasons that I am writing this series of articles on miracles. It is important the world knows that Jesus is a miracle working God. (Truly, Jesus is the ONLY miracle working God).

Now in verse nineteen Jesus says something remarkable in reference to faith. Look at this verse carefully; 19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.” This passage (verse 16) indicates that the ten lepers were most likely Samaritans. (They changed their spots). But in all reality, as Samaritans they most likely would not really have any faith in the God of Israel.

None the less, Jesus teaches us that; “faith has made you (the Samaritan lepers) well. Sometimes our faith can play an important role in miracles and healings even if we have little or ‘no’ faith like these Samaritan lepers. By the way the word Jesus uses for well in verse 19 is a Greek word Sozo (Strong’s Greek Concordance Reference Number 4981. Sozo can be translated as; to save,to deliver or protect. Sozo can also mean (literally or figuratively) to heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole.

Another question about this passage would be “How did the ten lepers know that they were healed”? The answer is that parts of their body would have grown back. Many times, leper’s noses will “rot” away and most likely their noses and fingers grew back. Perhaps their legs grew back. A very important key to seeing leprosy healed is to pray for lepers. To do that most of the time you must ‘go to’ lepers. Before you ask, yes, I have gone to the lepers. Allow me to share a little about that experience of praying for a leper to be healed.

Lunch with a Leper

Once in Gule Uganda I was eating lunch at a local restaurant on Friday. (Friday was the day they allowed the local lepers to come to town to beg). There were about forty people in the restaurant and as I ate a local leper squatted in the ditch outside the restaurant and took off his homemade prosthetic right leg. The leg was very ugly looking. The man’s leprosy had festered and there were green flies bussing about the man’s open wound just below the right knee. He was scratching the sore area too. And that was not too appealing to the folks having their lunch, but it got the leper noticed.

A couple of the patrons started to gag and wretch at the site. The leper then began to vigorously scratch the infected area. This caused the blood to start to flow down the leg and to drip onto the homemade prostatic leg.  I thought “cool”. Here is a chance to pray for a leper. (You can only pray for a leper if you go to where there are lepers (Matthew 10:8) So, I pushed my lunch aside and hopped into the ditch with the leper. Through “sign language” I indicated to him that I wanted to pray for him (my interpreter would not come to the ditch with me). I laid hands upon the man and prayed in Jesus name for his miraculous healing. It was obvious to me that God was doing something although the mans leg did not grow back at that instant.

I often wondered if he was like one of the ten Samaritan lepers. Perhaps God would heal him “as He went as we just saw in Luke 17. I never knew if this Ugandan leper was healed or what happened to him, but I was obedient to get into the ditch and pray for the leopard. So, after I finished praying for the man I gave him about ten Ugandan Shillings and walked back into the restaurant to finish my lunch.

The instant that I sat down at my place at the table everyone on the that side of the restaurant got up and moved to the other side or left part of the open-air dining room. You see leprosy is ‘very’ contagious. I was not concerned at this but I made it a point of moving over at that side as well to finish eating my list bit of ‘skinny chicken’. Most of the locals then left the restaurant in a huff.

Reverse Creative Miracle Released Helps the Disciples Understanding of the Power of Prayer

The lesson of thewithered fig tree on the Road from Bethany is a great example of Jesus teaching His disciples in a parabolic way. In this instance the Lord uses a fig tree to make His point obvious concerning the power of prayer and how our prayers do effect on things in the natural realm. We see this example of the Lord’s teaching about prayer in Matthew 21. By the way, Jesus’s ideas and lessons are still valid for us today. We can bless or curse with our words.

Proverbs chapter 18 is a great word study. May I suggest that you look it over today? Look at verse 21. Proverbs 18:21; Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Jesus understood the power of our words to release life or to release death. In the teaching that follows He demonstrates this for the disciples. Look at Matthew 21.

Matthew 21:18- 22; Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away.

So here the Lord speaks a negative word decree over the fig tree (even though it was out of season for ripe figs to be on the tree). I would interject that the fig tree represents organized religion or the church as it stands today. Selah. None the less the disciples take note of the Lord’s words as they are accustomed to His teaching them in this way and they comment in verse 20 saying; And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?”

It should be noted that the example of the tree was an immediate thing. The fig tree died instantly. Jesus hears their words and He tells them this amazing Kingdom truth in verses 21 and 22. “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.  “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Today most people who call themselves Christians do not have any real power in prayer. Why? Most likely because they do not “truly” believe in the power of the Lord Jesus that was delegated to them. For the ‘most part’ todays Christian is a powerless prayer warrior.  They could be compared to an archer with no arrows in his quiver or a soldier with a rubber gun. It is also possible that they are under a denominational doctrine that teaches them that the God has changed. They may believe the doctrine of organized religion (they believe a lie having been gaslighted for a season). They may not actually know the reality of the power of God. This is especially true when it comes to the gifts of healings and miracles.

I would like to say that Kathy and I have spoken to “dead” plants and trees and commanded them to live and they have suddenly recreated Lazareth in our lives and come back to life. The teachings of Jesus are real and they are vital to living a supernatural life in God. Here is another great example of the power of God’s word for you today!

Healing the Blind

Once before a trip to Malawi I had invested about two weeks praying in the House of Prayer on East Red Bridge Road in Kansas City, Missouri. Way back then (2003) they had an “Africa” room dedicated as a place to pray for Africa in IHOP. I invested a lot of my time in that room praying for the upcoming trip. It did not seem to matter how I prayed or how much I prayed I just could not get a “breakthrough” in prayer.

I was fasting and I was not leaving the Prayer Room in my pursuit of the Lord in prayer. I stayed in the House of Prayer for just short of two weeks (fourteen days). (Glad that they worked out the lawsuit with the International House of Pancakes in September 2010). During that time, I began to “smell” a little bit like Moses. You see, back then you could actually “rest” in the prayer room and if you did not snore, they did not accost you and ask you to leave. I believe that these days they have ‘security’ personnel with vests and badges. These kind folks were empowered to stop people who snored loudly or talked. (No joke. I suppose since the prayer room was being broadcast live in TV this was needful?) So, I “rested” there and visited the Africa room often as I sought the Lord in intercession and prayer.

The IHOP had a water fountain in the hallway, and I could drink there, and I was able to take “sink baths” in the men’s restroom. To be honest I still smelled a lot like a fire and looked like a vagabond, but I was determined to hear from the Lord before I left for Africa on that trip in 2003. (Ok, so some of you may be thinking that these miracle testimonies are not current. If that is you, just disregard all of the miracle testimonies in your Bible too. I’m just saying. Or better yet, write your own current testimonies of miracles for us to read on the interweb. That would be very encouraging for me). The truth was that I was not hearing from the Lord. Ten days went by, and I had heard nothing in prayer. On the eleventh day I heard the Holy Spirit whisper; “Read Acts 4”. So, I began to read Acts four. I must have read Acts four five-hundred times in between trips to take sink baths and to get a drink in the hallway.

Finally, after the twelfth day the Lord said; Now read verses 29 and 30. Those very important  verses tell us this; Acts 29 “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 “by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”

For the next forty-eight hours I meditated on those verses and the words of the Lord. Then the Lord impressed upon me to focus on this section; Grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 “by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”

Finally, the penny dropped, and I received some revelation! God expected us to have “boldness” in Africa.

Man Grows Eyeball in Malawi

In 2003 I made my third trip to Africa traveling to two new countries, South Africa and also Malawi. I was helping two international ministries by leading teams into the hospitals, streets, clinics and in nightly crusade meetings. This trip was also highlighted by a visitation of Jesus, and a revelation from heaven that forever changed my life. Prior to the trip I was In Kansas City, Missouri. I had been investing about two weeks at the International House of Prayer. At that time a person could “sleep” in the prayer room. I literally stayed at IHOP for about twelve days fasting and praying about the trip to Malawi. I just prayed in the spirit and drank from the water fountain in the hall and waited on the Lord. At that time there was a room dedicated to praying for Africa and I invested a lot of time praying over the map of Africa in there.

As I prayed it was as if the heavens were brass over my head. (See Deuteronomy 28:23). I just could not get a breakthrough into the realms of heaven to hear well from the Lord. That is one reason that I ended up investing several days in a row in the prayer room. I proposed in my heart that I was not going to leave until I got a word from heaven. After about ten days the Lord stopped the game of hide and seek and told me to read Acts 4. So, I began to read Acts 4. I must have read acts 4 hundreds times by now. However, I was not getting any “real revelation” from my exercise.

2 Peter 1:19 tells us that; We have the prophetic word confirmed, (the Bible, God’s written word) which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. By my fasting and praying over the scriptures I had begun to seek, Ask and knock and asking the Lord to release the revelation that I was sure that Jesus had for me in the fourth chapter of Acts. I would read the chapter and ask the Lord; “Ok, Jesus what do you want me to see”? After reading it constantly for about several days in a row the Lord finally said; “Look at verse 29 and 30”! I gave a big sigh. I had read Acts 4:29 and 30 hundreds of times already and there was just no oil coming from the Rock. (Italics mine.)

Acts 4: Verse 29 and 30 say; “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, “by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” “Ok Jesus” I said, “what about these two scriptures do you want me to see”? The precious Holy Spirit just said; “Read them again”. So, I invested about another twenty-four hours reading Acts 4:29, 30 over and over again. By now I had been in IHOP for about ten days and was in need of a real shower. I must have read Acts 4:29, 30 a thousand times. Finally, the Lord said look at the scriptures again, so I did.

That is when I saw it. Boldness! Yes, that was the oil! The morning star had arisen in my heart, and I had the revelation! Boldness; with all boldness they may speak Your word, “by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus. The Lord has given his children the authority to pray with all boldness in His name! All boldness is in the name of Jesus Christ! In an instant the penny dropped and Acts 4:29, 30 became sharp and alive in my spirit, soul and body. It became the Living Word, it became a rhema to me.

The Lord has always expected His children to pray with all boldness in His name! “What in the world does all boldness look like Lord”, I asked. And the Holy Spirit said that it looks like Acts 3:6-8, it looks like creative miracles. It looks like Mark 3:5-5. It looks like Mark 8:3. It looks like immediate creative miracles! That is what Jesus expects all of His children to do; to stretch out our hands and believe the He will be working with us to do the creative miracles as we pray with boldness in His mighty name! Of course!

The Lord began to speak to me to believe in Him for creative miracles while I was in Africa on this trip. He wanted me to believe God for missing fingers and toes to grow back as we pray with boldness in His mighty name! He wanted me to believe for the dead to be raised as we pray with boldness in His mighty name! (Incidentally it was on this trip that a young man and I “broke into the morgue at the hospital” to pray for the dead in Lilongwe). We won’t go into that as it is another testimony and a bunny trail that I choose to avoid tonight! But God had birthed in me a holy hunger and passion to work creative miracles as we pray with boldness in His mighty name! Of course!

I was expecting to see a lot of creative miracles in Africa and beyond.  I had somehow been given a “gift of faith” for the miraculous! I left the House of Prayer on fire! (I may have smelled like it too!) By the time we arrived in Malawi I had continued to meditate on Jesus working with me asking for God to release creative miracles as we pray with boldness in His mighty name! Wow!

The Blind Leading the Blind

Part of my job as a team leader on that trip was to load up the missions’ team members into their respective vans for the drive from the airport to the Sunrise Hotel in Lilongwe, Malawi. By now everyone was very tired from the very long flight from America. However, we were very excited to be on the ground again! Oh, how I do love the smell of Africa!

I got my team in a twelve-seat bus and we took off for the hotel. Everyone was talking and everyone seemed to be very exuberant for the mission. The driver took off like a shot. Since I had been to East Africa before his erratic driving did not bother me. I was on the left front seat and noticed that the woman right behind me was holding on to the bar between the seats for dear life! Her knuckles were white, and her eyes were popping out a bit. At that moment a huge semi-truck and our van had a very close call, and we narrowly missed a collision. There was a simultaneous shriek from the whole team.

For a moment I thought that our driver might be a little in his cups, so I tugged on his left sleeve to see if I could tell if he had been drinking. He turned to me, and it was then I noticed that he did not have a right eyeball! I screamed to the people in the van; “Don’t worry he is not drunk he is only blind”! That did not go over too good or help to relieve their concern!

The driver, Leonard, had a sort of infected looking opening where an eyeball should be, and there was no prostatic eye. The socket just looked like it had an angry infection and there was crust around the perimeter. Immediately the Holy Spirit reminded me of the Lords promise to work with me as I prayed with boldness in His mighty name! The Holy Spirit was reminding me to ‘expect’ creative miracles in Africa and beyond.

Then, I told the team that our driver only had one eye. I had hoped this statement would sooth their concern with Leonard’s erratic driving. The lady with the white knuckles told Leonard that the evangelist, had seen eyes grow back and that he would be in Malawi in two days. This statement really got me a little aggregated! (That bugged me. Man). I stopped her nicely and said, “Hey Leonard I have a much better idea.  How about we pray for you to grow back your eye when we get to the hotel”? Leonard liked that Idea better, and so did I! When we reached Sunrise Hotel in Lilongwe, Malawi I laid my hands on Leonard’s eye socket and began to pray for him along with a young woman. She worked as a  full time as a missionary in Mozambique for a season after this miracle. Anyway, as we prayed with boldness commanding an eye to form an ugly, foul smelling white liquid began to weep from his eye socket.

Leonard was really drunk now, not on whisky as we first thought, but the Holy Spirit was filling him, and he was smiling as the anointing washed through him. Behind me to my left I felt the now familiar presence, and a healing angel began to whisper into my left ear. And I would just pray what he whispered. When I took my hand away after boldly commanding “an eye to form” there was what appeared to be a small “white seed” of an eye in his once empty socket. When I removed my hand Leonard said, “I am seeing some light”. The seed was about the size of a BB. I remembered the Holy Spirit telling me to pray with boldness in Africa and to expect “creative miracles”. I smiled and inwardly gave God glory!

The next day Leonard was waiting for me at the hotel in the morning and had already made an agreement with the other bus drivers that a certain “wuzungo” or white man would be riding with him. Leonard had been touched by the anointing and he realized that his miracle had started. Leonard wanted me to pray for him again. I laid hands on him a second time and prayed with boldness in Jesus mighty name. Once again, I could feel the heat and electricity as it flew into my left arm and hand as I commanded the eye to grow! Several team members joined in the prayer. Again, when I removed my hand, I could see Leonard’s fresh new eye and it was about the size of a pea by now. He was growing a new eyeball! This was a real creative miracle that was released by the healing word and the laying on of hands to heal (Acts 4:29-30).

Leonard was all smiles as he told the team he could now see light and shadows. After more prayer Leonard told me that he could see a “fussy outline” of my hand (like the blind man in Mark 8 who saw men walking as trees). The next morning Leonard was at the hotel waiting for the team. He was growing hungry for his miracle and the Lord was continuing to release boldness in the team. My team has already seen over one dozen totally blind healed, and we had ministered in various outreaches in the city. A gift of faith for the blind to see had blossomed in me after I saw Leonard’s “eye seed” beginning to grow. I refused to pray for anyone except the blind on the trip. As a result, some of the teams started to bring all the blind to my team for prayer. It seemed that the anointing of the Holy Spirit for the gift of miracles to heal the blind was contagious.

Lights Camera Action

The next day Leonard sought me out to pray for his “growing” eyeball for the third consecutive day. By now Leonard’s new eye was about the size of a small marble. Leonard was laughing and praising God for his new eye. As it turned out He was a good Presbyterian. What’s more he was beginning to see well with his new eye! By now I was becoming comfortable to the fire in my left hand as I prayed for the blind and the angel would step near and whisper into my left ear. (My left hand would get very hot).  I would just pray the words I heard and boom! On almost every occasion the blind would immediately begin to see. Amazing!

By now Leonard was laughing and praising God for his miracle and was becoming a sort of celebrity among the 100 member missions’ team. A lot of people wanted to see the “Man who was growing a new eye”. That day, June 6th, 2003, the teams were feeding the poor in a large refugee camp. This was big news and a reporter and camera man from the regional TV station was on the scene filming the distribution of the corn and rice that the two ministries were giving away to the poor in the midst of a famine.

I was surprised when the reporter came looking for me. It seemed that they were also filming testimonies of the various miracles that God was doing. They wanted me to introduce them to the man who “was growing the eye”, but Leonard was not around, so they settled to talk to me! So here I was in Malawi, and I was speaking on the regional TV coverage about Jesus and His working with us as we prayed with boldness in His mighty name. I got to preach a short sermon on God’s power to heal (Acts 4) on the regional TV! God is truly Amazing. Talk about God TV!

That night the evangelist invited Leonard on to the platform to pray for his eyeball to grow as well, by now there was a crowd of an estimated 15,000 on the crusade grounds. Leonard’s new eye was now about the size of regular glass marble. Leonard was asked to test his new eye by covering his good eye, and Leonard was able to see well. He was able to identify a bible, a pair of glasses, and finally a small life saver candy! The crowd went wild over Leonard’s creative miracle!

Leonard was at the Sunrise Hotel in Lilongwe, Malawi bright and early the next morning and he was ready to have more prayer. By now he was telling me his wife was truly blessed by his miracle. He had called her and told her of his progressive miracle in another city. I checked his new eye, and it was about the size of a grape and there was an iris and pupil that had started to form. I laid hands on him again and it appeared that his eye seemed to grow a little more. Leonard told me that he was “seeing better” with his new eye.

Later that day while I was praying for Leonard a cameraman from the Malawi National TV station came to us and asked if he could interview Leonard and me to get his testimony. I had talked to him earlier about Leonard’s unusual miracle. He asked Leonard to share his testimony with the nation of Malawi! Now I found myself interviewing Leonard on the national television station! We were able to pray for Leonard for three more days and each day his eye grew a bit more.

The last time I saw Leonard’s new eye it was nearly normal in size, and he was seeing very well according to his testimony. By then it was easy to see the new pupil and iris. Leonard’s creative miracle triggered many more healings while I was in Africa. I had refused to pray for anyone unless they were blind! While the team was in Malawi, I personally saw 62 blind healed, and when we went to South Africa a few days later we saw 10 more blind healed. I witnessed 72 blind eyes open in all.

Bring All of the Blind People to the Wuzungos

During one outreach to a refugee camp a team member got a word of knowledge and went to the translator and told the village to “Bring all of your blind people to the white people under the trees and Jesus will heal them” (We were so politically correct and woke back then). As my team of eight peeps prayed, we witnessed 42 blind eyes open in about 45 minutes! These miracles were instantaneous. To God be the glory for praying with boldness!

This gift of faith to see the blind healed rested on me for a season, and I saw a blind intercessor healed in Las Vegas two days after I returned from this trip to Africa. This manifestation of the gift of faith was surely involved angelic ministry, and the gift of the Holy Spirit concerning miracles.

In April 2004 the Lord spoke to me about the 72 blind that were healed in Malawi and South Africa right before I went to Toronto to help with Toronto Ablaze (a Christian outreach in Ontario). I was able to preach at Dundalk Square there in Toronto during the event and the deaf were healed in that meeting. I got excited and asked the Lord “Are we going to see 72 blind healed in those meetings”? The Lord replied, “No this time we are going to see 72 deaf healed” and true to His word we did see exactly 72 deaf healed in Toronto during those meetings and outreaches.

72 Is A Prophetic Number

In 2005 the Lord spoke to me in more detail about the fantastic miracles that He did with the 72 blind and the 72 deaf. He said that these miracles were prophetic signpost to his church from Isaiah 6: 9 He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ “Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed.” The Lord said that the church is in a deep sleep or spiritual slumber, but that He is about to shake the church out of its lethargic state and release a mighty healing revival into the earth. This will be initiated in part by the release of the “seer” anointing on mass. We will look at this in more detail later in additional articles.

We have documented testimonies confirming the healing of the 72 deaf or partially deaf in Toronto. 72 of 74 deaf or partially deaf were healed as I ministered to them in Toronto, again there was angelic activity and the anointing of the Holy Spirit at work with me in this, and there were several people who “saw” the angel as I prayed for the deaf in the streets of Toronto (at Dundalk Square) or at the nightly healing meetings there at the church in Toronto. Truly the Lord confirmed His work of Acts 4:29, 30 and worked with us as we prayed with boldness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

The Lord used the miracles of the blind being healed in Malawi to increase my faith and my work in the healing ministry. God also used these experiences to boost my faith, and to position me to receive a series of great financial miracles from the realm of heaven. The Lord can do this same kind of thing with you too. You only need to “learn” to believe to receive. The first step is to believe Jesus as your Savior. To receive Jesus as your personal Savior just pray the prayer below.

Prayer of Salvation

Father God, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior. I believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and that He died upon the Cross to make payment for my sins. I believe that Jesus was buried in an unused grave, but that after three days He rose again (came back to life or were resurrected) and conquered death and sin. Lord, because I was born a human being, I was born a sinner. Lord, I ask you to forgive my sins now, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. God, cover my sins with the atoning Blood of Jesus and forgive me now. Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. Right now, I confess my sins, and ask for Your forgiveness. Lord I am asking to be born from above. I believe that You shed your Blood to make payment for my sins. Lord, I believe in my spirit and in my heart that You are the Son of God and that You arose from the dead after three days. Lord forgive my sins now.  Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. From now on, Lord, I will live my life for You alone I give You my life. Help me to walk in Your Kingdom and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank You, Lord, for saving me and for answering my prayer today! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
